Using the Registration Service

Supporting address changes from any domain to any domain

Change of Email Address
Current email address: (required)
Previous email address: (optional)

Place the following HTML code on your website to allow users to register changes of address

Welcoming New Users

If you set current attribute explicitly as a hidden form parameter you can conveniently increase the brand awareness of your email service by getting your new user’s email address into the directory (and, thereafter, subject to the user’s security settings, your domain name gets into the address books of thousands of people and replaces your competitors’).

Welcome example@ContactClean.com!
Register your old email address so your friends can find you.
Old Email:

So if you have new users in your email system who may have come from any other domain you could use this HTML:

Supporting address changes between known domains

Change of Email Address
Current email address: @example.com
Previous email address @example.co.uk

You can use the optional hidden inputs current_suffix and previous_suffix in your form to make registration easier for your users (if, for example, you were supporting users moving from one email provider to another).

If the text in current_suffix is not present at the end of the text entered by the user in the current field then the registration script will add it automatically. Similarly for the inputs previous_suffix and previous. You can use one, both or neither of current_suffix and previous_suffix.

So, if you were supporting a large number of users migrating to the example.com domain from their previous addresses at example.co.uk you could use this HTML code:

Using the Search Service

Searching any domain

Use the following HTML code to place an email search service on your website:

Searching one domain

If you want to support users searching for addresses in one particular domain then you can use the optional lookup_suffix hidden input. If the text in lookup_suffix is not present at the end of the text entered by the user in the lookup field then the registration script will add it.
