Orange, in it's wisdom, have been deleting a large number of freeserve accounts. It is quite usual for unused free accounts to be purged from systems, but these are accounts that seem to have been in regular use and were deleted without warning (more details on The Register).

You probably no longer have access to your addressbooks at Freeserve - as they've been deleted! - so, once you've found a new email provider, the ContactClean email address directory is possibly your best bet to let people know your new email address.
